Again yesterday I walked the length of our walking trail and all the dead trees, tree limbs, damaged asphalt path, and fallen over fence posts are just the same as when I say them 9 years ago! Believe the HOA will not maintain this area except for their limited mowing.
Soon I, for one, will begin cutting up the limbs and trees from the front to the back of the trail and lay them on the walk way. They will be in sizes you can pick one up and carry back to the front as you exit the trail. Just before the beginning of the trail you cross a little bridge which has a huge erosion problem under it. I have begun putting what I take out of the trail area and putting the limbs in there. May be in time we can fill this erosion area with limbs and rocks (from behind the Rec Center, for example) and solve more than one problem of ''maintenance'' for our HOA, Parkwood Maintenance Association.
Help where you can. I will be doing the cutting as time permits and you can carry the limbs out on at a time - and we will clean up our trail the way it should always be!
Thanks to all who help.
Regards,
Mike
