Skyline Park is a Candidate for a new Aquatic Center

Jan 22, 2002

The community group was approached by Terri Palmer an employee with the City of Mesa Aquatics about the possibility of putting an Aquatic Center in Skyline Park and wanted to know if there was enough interest for this project. With the help of community volunteers and residents in the area, over 600 signatures were gathered in the two days given as a deadline to show interest in the project. Each signature is give a certain point rating to determine the interest. Red Mountain is the other entity interested in this center. The aquatic center is one step closer to becoming a reality. It will contain olympic size swimming and diving pools, a pool for water polo and many other amenities. Thank you to all the volunteers and residents who responded to quickly to the call. You are greatly appreciated!
