Chief Complaints in Paso Tiempo and Cambria Cove.
Good Info
Parking of Vehicle. Why would an individual park a big truck in the neighborhood in clear violation of the County ordinance allowing no trucks larger than 1 ton? Can you imagine the stress this truck is placing on our streets that were not constructed to code by the developer to accept this kind of vehicle? We are scheduled by the County to repair the streets potholes in the near future and our streets will not be repaved until after 2005. Our streets are full of parked cars. Blocked driveways and sidewalks are a common problem. How do you fix it? With a little research and a bit of neighborly communication, the problem could become less of a bother. After checking with El Paso County Traffic Laws we have come to learn what is legal and what is not. It is a violation to section TRC 545.302. to park:
1) Park a vehicle on a sidewalk is prohibit.
2) Where official signs are posted in an intersection
3) Beside a parked vehicle along side a curb, where the vehicle would obstruct traffic.
4) Park a vehicle within 30 feet of a stop sign, yield sign, or a traffic control sign located at the side of the road.
Basketball Goals beyond the set back of the property line, or on the side walk, and on the streets. This item is okay to use it but upon completion of each game this items must be place back where it belongs. Players should be aware that streets are not a safe place to play and every effort should be made not to bother their neighbors yards bottom line streets are for cars. Furthermore, the streets are not a playground or a football field.
Trash Cans. One of the most frequent problems noted in the community is the failure of some residents to properly store trash receptacles (cans). We encourage all residents to store these out of sight (in garage or behind privacy fence) as soon as possible after trash pick up. This will keep Pasa Tiempo and Cambria Cove more attractive and reduce the chance that you will lose your trash can from theft or being blown away.
Mowing. Just “mowing” your lawn is really not enough. Mowing should always include edging, weed control and clean up of the complete yard and street in front of your house not very hard to do.
