IMPORTANT MEETING NOTICE

When the New England Patriots Fan Nation of Arizona was organized , the main reason was so that fans of the Patriots in the Phoenix area would have a central location available to them, from all areas, N, S, E & W, to be able to get together and watch the games.

That was accomplished when we settled on Deemo's American Grille at the Esplanade Center and it has worked out extremely well as our hosts have gone all out to make it a family oriented experience.

One of the things we mentioned was that the NEPFNA would not be run by a group of officers, or a board of directors, but instead would have coordinators to handle certain events, etc, but anything that needed to be decided would be open to ALL members of NEPFNA for a decision.

We now are at that point where an issue has come up that we want to settle and we want ALL of the members to have input.

We announced at the very beginning that there would be a limit on prizes that could be won at each game day get together.  That limit was set at two prizes, per person, maximum.

The intent was that more fans would have an opportunity of winning something, no matter if they bought one ticket or ten tickets.  We wanted more people to walk away with something nice, a patriot item, or a gift card of sorts.

When we set that limit, there were only two opportunities to win something, the halftime door prizes and the football card game.

Now, for the past several weeks, more opportunities have been added, such as the special member's drawing or the instant winner segment of the football card game, and on occasion a 50/50 drawing.

And this is where the question came about.  What do we include in the two prize maximum or do we even have a two prize maximum?

So, what we have decided to do is to get a consensus of members and would like to have a brief meeting this Sunday morning before the game between the Patriots and Dolphins, which by the way, WILL NOT BE SEEN ON LOCAL TV IN ARIZONA.

Kickoff for the game is at 11:00 AM Arizona time, so we would like to begin the meeting at, or around, 10:15 AM.  So, please come so that we can get input.

If you can not make it to Deemo's this Sunday, then please send us your input be e-mail.

Thanks.  GO PATS

Monday Night was a Downer,

But Pats Still in Control of their Destiny

Monday Night's game in the Superdome certainly was a disaster, one of those games that most of us would just like to forget.

It certainly was not a good night for our Patriots, but let's give credit to the Saints who deserved the win.  They played better, and they were coached better.  And that is the end of that.  They won, we lost, and now it's time to regroup.

Even with the defeat, the Pats still hold a commanding two game lead in the AFC East division, with a 7-4 record.

Miami and the Jets have identical records of 5-6, and there are only five games left to play in the regular season.

That puts a lot of importance on this Sunday's game in Miami.  If the Pats prevail, they will hold a three game lead over the Dolphins with only four left to play, two of which are at friendly Gillette Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Jets will travel to Buffalo this week to take on the Bills, who are always tough at home.  In either case, one of our division rivals, the Jets or the Bills will sustain another loss.

So, a win for the Pats in Miami is critical, and crucial as it almost locks up the East Division crown and at least one post season home game.

Come on down to Deemo's and let's cheer the Pats on to victory, together.
