From Daniel J. Sullivan, Jr. and Kevin P. Tracy, Co-Chairs of the Board of Directors of The Pawtucket Foundation:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, we want to thank Thomas for his service to the organization and our mission.  Although we are sad to see him go, we are excited for him as he initiates this next stage in his life and his career.

Over the course of the next few months, we will conduct a search to find our new executive director.  During this search, our priority will be to find the best candidate, but to also ensure stability and continuity throughout the organization.  Both Thomas and the Board of Directors want to ensure a smooth transition that will not disrupt the great work that The Pawtucket Foundation is doing on a daily basis.
The Executive Committee has appointed Aaron Hertzberg as interim executive director during the search and transition.  Aaron has diligently served the Foundation as the Program Director for the past four years.  He will continue to manage projects, events and other activities while also taking on increased management responsibilities.
Again, we thank Thomas for his vision and leadership over the past four years and wish him continued success in his next endeavor.  We look forward to the next chapter at The Pawtucket Foundation and continuing to build a bridge to prosperity in Pawtucket.

The Pawtucket Foundation Board of Directors announces resignation of Executive Director

It is with a mix of excitement and sadness that we announce the resignation of our Executive Director, Thomas A. Mann, Jr. Since 2008, Thomas has skillfully led the organization bringing energy, accomplishments and guidance. The Board of Directors and staff at The Pawtucket Foundation will be very sad to see him go, but we look forward to the next chapter in our history, as the Board of Directors conducts a search for a new leader. We wish Thomas the best of luck in all his future endeavors, which we are certain will be successful.

From Thomas A. Mann, Jr., Executive Director of The Pawtucket Foundation:
After four years as Executive Director of The Pawtucket Foundation, I have asked our Board of Directors to consider my resignation effective October 12, 2012 so that I may pursue another exciting career opportunity.
I am extremely proud of The Pawtucket Foundation and the work we have accomplished over the last several years. Since 2008, we have grown our staff, championed key transportation projects, completed several streetscape beautification enhancements and charted a course for the revitalization of the river corridor in Pawtucket and Central Falls. Today, I can say I will be leaving a solid, growing organization that is recognized as a community development partner and one of Pawtucket's greatest champions of a revitalized future vision.
I have enjoyed the work at The Pawtucket Foundation because it's a dynamic organization with great people, creativity and vision.  I extend my deepest gratitude to all of our board, partners, corporate members, staff and volunteers.  You have all taught me a great deal about civic duty, service and the meaning of community. Thank you.
