One girl gave class a gift
When I was a beginning teacher, 11 or 12 years ago, as I was checking homework, a girl posted a sign on her neck, ''Please do not come near me, I am sick.'' She had strep throat. Apparently, I got too close. The next day, 15 of 30 students were absent. The following day, I had to report to the doctor's with strep. What a way to spend Christmas vacation! In addition, the doctor gave me a medication in which I had an allergic reaction. I resembled a man who took the worst end of a barroom fight. In closing,I wish the young lady had health care.
