LOVEwork in Portsmouth
LOVE was designed and fabricated by two Portsmouth residents, Orlen Stauffer and Irving Wolff. It was installed on the Downtown Waterfront to create a unique photo opportunity for citizens and visitors to capture the essence of Portsmouth with the Portsmouth Naval Medical Center and Tidewater Marina in the background. Portsmouth’s heritage of the military presence is the primary element recognized on the sculpture. It is enhanced by the inclusion of the City logo.
