The group had 2 honorable guests, Council members: Nathan Clark and Elizabeth Psimas

Councilman Nathan Clark briefed the group on Hurricane Preparedness from the city as well as took questions from the group.

Officer Ski as well as Lt. Ferrell attended and Lt. Ferrell provided the group a synopsis of the latest on crime in Churchland.
Vehicle Larcenies are up in Churchland however burglaries are declining.
The Police are working on apprehending “Wanted” people which is driving numbers down. There were 3 trespassing arrests and 3 open container arrests up at the Parkway Portsmouth Shopping center (3900 Twin PInes Road) Thieves are stealing the decals off license plates and the Police are working to solve this crime.

??‹??‹??‹??‹David Stephenson briefed the group regarding the Peach Tree Lake clean up initiative. On August 19th a group of about 25 people - Members of the Rotary Club, Peach Tree HOA, The Sheriff's Office, as well as Churchland Civic Members all came together to help with this worthy initiative. A total of 39 Large Trash bags, 200 pounds of wood were removed from the Peach Tree lake. David spoke to both council members about the Grating issue within the lake. The council members indicated they would look into the issue.
