Quarterly Board Members?’ Meeting Minutes
7/12/04 6:30 p.m. ?– Home of Mark & Merrilee Coby

Minutes Prepared by Ima Heim
1. Third quarterly board members meeting. Members in attendance: Mark Coby, Melaina Raburn, Chris Perkins, Sandy Evers, and Ima Heim. Quorum was achieved.
2. In the treasury report Chris reported that 53 homes out of 65 have paid dues. Decision was made to give Jayne Franklin credit for dues for letting us use her water. Chris suggested we look into getting our association a tax-exempt status for future purchases.
3. Discussed trying to get the speed limit in front of our neighborhood down to 45.
4. In the discussion of old business we needed to remember to deliver the prize to the winners of the hotel stay.
5. Discussed next newsletter to come out July 17th. Will contain thanks to Jayne Franklin, dues update, an article from Mark, new neighbors, babies, and farewells.
6. Discussed directory update ?– Ima received more update forms. Business directory will be printed on yellow paper in a business card layout. The directory will be 3 hole punched and placed in a folder with prongs. There will be an intro letter to directory with reference to the officers and web site. Will have printed at Kinkos.
7. Discussed architectural committee to clean up the neighborhood (ex. grass between the cracks). Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day.
8. Discussed landscaping the front. Get estimates for grounding stumps and have it done. Plant crepe myrtles maybe alternating with cypress trees. Todd is getting a picture of this to see how it will look. Need to set up a committee since Todd is moving. Chris volunteered. Ima said Marty had also shown some interest.
9. Discussed upcoming social events. August 20th will be a progressive dinner for adults only. September 18th fall garage sale.
10. Next Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday October 4th.
