Yeah, I'm sure one of the six animal control officers will be out to check on that stray cat any day now...right after they get done chasing down stray dogs, dogs that bite, and people without licenses.

Let me know how that works out for you.

Here's a tip - Next time you call, ask to have an officer come to see you about this, and tell them you don't mind waiting a day or two. Otherwise the complaint will be logged and no one will EVER be sent out. I'm serious.

An Ode to Animal Control



On Thanksgiving Day in the dark of night, we stopped to see a truck, amassed with lights.
''What's that we said?'' as we turned the corner. Twas an Animal Control truck, the reason no wonder.
A surprise on a day to be filled with thanks. The result of neighbors tired of pranks. Keep your pets in the house and out of our yards. Instead of citations, for the holidays, you'll receive cards.
