I have only one statement to make on this situation, those of us who grew up in this neighborhood, that have had to deal with the water contamination, isn't it really sad that the lawfirms drug out this case in the courts for so long and are taking the majority of the money from the residents who are truly the ones who have had to deal with the problems, the settlement for the long-term residents in this neighborhood is one big joke, we don't know the complete effect it will have on us long-term, but we know several people have died in the area and the contamination may only be a factor in those deaths, but the real shame of this is that all the money goes to the attorneys who don't have to live with the contamination as the residents have, suffer the sickness and wonder what the effect will be on those of us still living after drinking and playing in the water and irrigation in this neighborhood most of our lives. It is really sad and very shameful for such small settlement funds to go to the injured parties and again the attorneys make out like bandits, as far as I'm concerned this was one big scam on the residents in these contaminated neighborhoods, the little checks of $300.00 should have gone to the lawyers and the majority of the fund to those residents who are named in the class action lawsuit and their family. I Hope the law firms in this class action lawsuit are proud of themselves, our neighborhood has now been taken advantage of a second time. Shame on you.
