Don't believe all you read. The students, parents and teachers of the Balsz district are devastated by the recent turn of events. This district is an old and proud district that has been brought to its knees by a series of bad decisions by administrators and lousy legislation that doesn't support education.

What is happening now is a travesty, not only to Balsz District (which by the way does NOT include the Arcadia or Scottsdale areas) but to the entire education system in Arizona. How can this state be proud of being 49th out of 50th in education spending?

The teachers in the Balsz district are highly qualified and committed to our students. We are the ones that are in the classrooms daily, watching the struggles that are taking place during this immigration witch hunt. We are the ones that are guiding these students to take their place as contributing citizens. And we feel that we have been blind-sided by the recent events that have brought this district to to such new lows. And still, we are in our classrooms, doing what we do best.....teaching children, That's where we have been and will continue to be....no matter what the future holds.
