- The Deer Valley Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) #3871 invites local community members and their children to the first Child Advocacy Day, May 4 from noon until 4 p.m. The day was designed in order to promote the health and welfare of the children around the community. The first Child Advocacy Day will take place at the Deer Valley Fraternal Order of Eagles aerie located at 3600 W. Rose Garden Lane in Glendale. Admission is free. Local children and their parents will have the opportunity to learn about water safety, crime prevention, first aid, receive blood pressure check ups and more. Additionally, children can enjoy martial arts demonstrations, face painting, a bike rodeo, food and much more. Deer Valley FOE #3871 was instituted into the local community in 1979 and is home to more than 800 members. The Deer Valley Eagles follow the International F.O.E. motto of ‘People Helping People,' and donate more than $50,000 annually to local charities, including the Foundation for Burns and Trauma and to the Hospice of the Valley.
