Lone Oak Parke Fence

Posted in: Lone Oak Park
What are the chances of extending the brick wall, which is used at each of our gated entries, to surround our entire neighborhood? I feel that the white fencing ''cheapens'' the look of our impressive neighborhood. The new Lone Oak communities are using all brick walls and it looks amazing! Already, those neighborhoods appear on a different quality level than the rest. The surrounding fence is the first impression of our neighborhood, especially Lone Oak Parke, as it is sits on 164th. To be on par with the other upscale communities of this area, we need a border to our community the represents the quality within. Obviously, there will be an expense to consider. As a proud member of this community, I will be more than happy to contribute my part. Does anyone else feel this way?

I agree with your ''cheapens'' comment. The chances of extending brick fences around the perimeter of LOP are good and expensive. I have asked David Dobbs, Beautification committee chairman to organize a group of homeowners to look into our options and gather bids. Please contact David @ 922.2986 or david.dobbs@cardinalhealth.com to volunteer your time to help with the project.

I agree with the fence. The white fence does appear cheap- especially when parts are falling apart all of the time. It will cost more in the long run for us to keep fixing the white fence. This should be a new discussion at the next home owners meeting.
Can we get an update on how the bid process for the brick wall is going?  I haven't seen a newsletter in several months, am I missing something?
