1963-1972 - First female African-American Supervisor and Director of an Adult Education Program (i.e., T.E.A.) in Kentucky.
1982 - Began TEA program at the Plymouth Community Renewal Center, Inc.
1984 - Community Service Award - Honored by Zeta sority .
1989 - Created remediation tutorial program for children with Dyslexia characteristics and received 1st funding from Crusade for Children. Still growing in its 23rd year at the Plymouth Center. Thousands of needy children from Kentucky and Indiana have benefited from the services at Plymouth.
2000 - The Board of Trustees at Bellarmine College granted Honary Doctorate of Humane Letters - honoris causa for 55 years of working with children in the community.
