I notice that this web site is being utilized a lot more this month; thanks to everyone who is getting the word out about our Neighborhood Watch web site.
Do many of you go into the TPD Calls for Service link, and view the calls for our grid? In the past week we have had a service call for criminal mischief and one for prostitution. It has been a long time since I've seen a call for prostitution to this grid. I guess compared to some areas of town we are a pretty quiet grid with regard to criminal activity, but my wish is to make sure we stay a quiet grid and not become complacent.
Does anyone have any ideas as to how we can make sure these types of crimes don't escalate? I think we need to try to get more people involved in Neighborhood Watch, especially in the Mobile Patrol. Anyone have any ideas how to accomplish that? I mean, we don't want to wait for something major to happen before we start looking our for one another, do we? The 3 break-ins we had last spring was bad enough.
I was hoping that this discussion forum would generate more interaction among our residents to help solve some of the issues in our area. Don't be shy, folks! Put in your two-cents worth ---- you'd be amazed how much two cents is actually worth, especially when it comes to safety.
