So Citigroup was the recipient of $45 billion of the bailout money.  In the fourth quarter last year they still spent millions of dollars lobbying congress; they plan to continue lobbying this year. 

Mark this as yet another reason this bailout make no logical sense.  We now have a private institution lobbying congress to advance its private agenda at the expense of other companies and positions and now they can fund the lobbying efforts with PUBLIC MONEY!!  This seems insane to me.

Please, somebody, explain how this bailout makes any sense!!!

Completely insane, not to mention they are supposedly spending some $400 million in naming rights associated with a new baseball stadium for the NY Mets. Some 50,000 people are set to lose their jobs at Citigroup, are these people insane or what????
