Well opie, being a conservative it wont ....you are right it cant......but to people like davie who hope that the government will soak the rich to keep his costs lower...they will never understand...when u add more people to the system costs are gonna rise......for some reason liberals and davie just dont understand this.......

gta, correct me if I am wrong (and I just may be) but I think the liberals are thinking that if healthcare is mandated and everyone has to have it, the price of it will go down because there are now more customers for the insurance companies.  Does that sound like their reasoning.  Well may I ask yo to think back to the Beanie Baby craze of the late eighties early nineties.  Yes, you read it right Beany Babies.  When the Beany Baby craze hit there were no shortages.  Everyone and their brother was selling them.  Demand grew and the customer base grew.  Many new customers for the Beany Babies and the parent company TY.  Did the retailers say, "Wow look at this demand, lets lower our prices because now we have more customers we don't have to charge as much."  NO, as good business people they kept their prices at what the market would allow.  Instead of keeping profits level, they increased profits and took the money and ran.  Insurance companies are good business people too.  Just because they now have hundreds of thousands of new customers they aren't going to lower their rates.  They are going to take the money and run.  I don't understand how anyone can think the rates are going to become lower.

jc and opie, im not sure how the liberals think that.....i guess 1 plus 1 equals 3in their own twisted reality......now there will be a whole lot more sick people seeking medical attention....people who will abuse it and run to the doctor for every little thing.....up is the only way that premiums can go.........i like the beany baby analogy though ....it was very true
