He certainly acknoledged his white grandfather and grandmother, epecially, as some of the most important influences in his life.   Is going to multiracial schools for his entire education "having totally lived a 'black man's life' "?

There are a lot of us who marry people of our same ethnicicty.   At one time those of German ancestry seldom married the Irish or Italians etc.

Likewise many of us go to churches which are dominantely of our own race.

Our same ethnicity? Michelle is not bi-racial....she is not of his ethnicity. When you are bi-racial, how does one decide to live as one race or another....and why did he choose to be black? 

Would it be all better if he had married a white woman?
