Hello Shelby Park Residents:

My hope is that this post will become a place where neighborhood members will come to share their questions, concerns and ideas with others.

To get things started, I'd like to offer some possible topics for us:

1) The Shelby Park pool: Are we really going to let the city government, who are supposed to be representing us, take away our pool without hearing our position on the matter?

2) Crime Prevention: How do we get organized and arrange an effective neighborhood watch?

3) Beautifying the Neighborhood: Who else is interested in organizing a group that can plant trees around the neighborhood, maintain a few flower beds at the park and reduce litter?

What exactly is the crime rate in this area? I will be moving to Camp Street in a few weeks and don't want to end up getting myself into trouble up there... I would, however, be interested in helping clean up the area and look into setting up a good neighborhood watch. Let me know someting soon. Thanks.
