2008 and the Portland Museum

Some changes have occurred at the Portland Museum. A young man, Benjamin Baggett, was hired last year to work on the Preserve America project. He has been very busy all year. The project ends in June of this year. One of our most special staff members returned to her home state of Missouri and those of us who remain are trying to replace her. We miss Ms. Gerrity very much.
An Interpretive plan is being created for the Portland Wharf Park and once it is completed the plan will be given to Metro Parks so that they can begin the implementation.
The Heritage Trails project is being wrapped up and the company creating the Interpretive plan will also design markers for the locations on the trails.
