The year is coming to a close--the Portland Museum has been very busy.
Plans are being made for 2007.
The Preserve America work is about to get started, with the communities input, a plan will take shape.
Paul Hornung publicly announced a future gift to the Museum of his memorabilia, the logistics of this will need to be worked out before it will be made available for public viewing.
Meetings of the Portland Preservation Alliance have been held and more will be scheduled.
Work is underway to make the Beech Grove home accessible for handicapped individuals.
Heritage trails: Architecture, Maritime and African-American will be planned.
Portland Wharf Park: Plans will be fleshed out, so that the park will become a destination spot for visitors.
Historic Tours: Docent's will be trained to fill the positions of tour guides, for Museum and neighborhood tours.
Portland Stories will continue in the near future.
