Clean-up Is Great Success!!!
Thanks in part of the great weather, we had approximately 25 adults and children walk the sides of Meyers Road, Gaffney Lane and Mollalla Avenue picking up trash. Over 30 bags of garbage plus other larger debris were picked up. We even found an illegal dump site that B & B leasing was kind enough to pick-up (old tires, plywood, etc.).
It only took 2 hours to clean-up our Neighborhood Association and some of the volunteers even came down to Clackamette Park to have pizza offered by the the City as party of the Citywide clean-up program.
Thanks a bunch to all the volunteers. Hopefully next year we will have even more volunteers.
I'm currently in the process of working with the city to develop an Adopt-A-Road program which I hope GLNA will be the first to participate in this program. We would only have to do it twice a year and it would only take 2 hours to clean-up what we did this time!!!
