Mistake in last post
Sorry, but I made a mistake in my last post about the Mt. Tabor Park flasher. The MTNA meeting at which Officer Manougian said there had been no reports of the flasher recently was the March meeting (March 17), not the April that I reeported before. Sorry for the confusion. Nadine

There can never be too much info
As a regular walker and jogger through our park, I am amazed at the lack of loud and frequent "headlines" about the perverted individual who gets his kicks from exposing himself to park users. It shouldn't be solely left up to the Mt. Tabor Neighborhood Assoc. Newsletter to get the message out. Media coverage as well as increased police visibility in the park would seem appropriate steps in trying to get this guy. Does anyone know if the police are able to increase their drive-throughs?
Can anyone give locations of where this guy "works", or is it throughout different areas of the park? It just doesn't seem like enough info is being dispersed.

A little more info...
At the March MTNA meeting Officer Gary Manougian said there had not been a citing since March 3. He was not at the April meeting and I have not heard of any other citings. I seem to recall that a flasher was apprehended in another neighborhood and that there is some speculation it is the same person--but that is hear-say. If you want more information, you can call Officer Manougian at the SE Precinct (at 47th/Burnside) or our Neighborhood Response Team officer, Kevin Warren at 823-5079 (direct line). Officer Warren works the afternoon/evening shift. Officer Manougian is our neighborhood liaison--our "Street Beat" officer (on the streets every day. Officer Warren deals with chronic or ongoing issues. Either of them could probably give you an update.

Flasher Update
Tonight (6/16) at the MTNA meeting Officer Manougian said they have identified 5 flashers and coincidently, there have not been any "sightings" reported since these flashers were identified (mid May).
