Those cars that drive by whose "music" plays loud enough to feel a thumping in the chest are a neighborhood nuisance. Is there anything short of earplugs that can be done about this? I have a sneaking suspicion that many of the lunkhead thumpers are young people--with parents. Those parents might instruct their children to drive safely AND to help them develop a sense that they are not alone on the planet. What they do--and play--goes beyond the tip of the noses.
