We talked about the possibility of taking a field trip to really get a better feel of what goes on behind the scenes in waste and recycling. Where would you want to go?

Personally I would love to see the Rebuilding Center and SCRAPS. I would also like to see a glass recycling place and a plastics recycling place.

I had the opportunity to take a workshop put on by Master Recyclers a couple of years ago. It was very useful information especially from a consumer standpoint.

Another kind of field trip

In addition to those excellent suggestions, how about a field trip to different neighborhoods hosted by eeach neighborhood association? For example, we could give a tour of interesting sights and sounds (and such) in Sunnyside so its more than just a name to people.
