Cellular-Wireless in Public ROW

Posted in: Richmond
I don't know if you've noticed, but there are two of these in our
area. They are cell towers on wooden power poles (their own, they don't co-locate with PGE). One is on SE 35th Place, about 50 feet south of Division, on the East side. the other is on 39th, in Laurelhurst, I think one or two blocks north of Burnside, on the east side.

Public meetings RE: cellular-wireless equipment in public right-of-way

The Office of Cable Communications and Franchise Management has scheduled three public meetings regarding cellular and wireless communication equipment on utility poles in the streets and public right-of-way. The City and wireless industry will be on hand to provide information about the size and scale of wireless equipment, its color, zoning issues and other aesthetic considerations.

The meetings are scheduled as follows:
* Thursday, July 12th , Interstate Kaiser Town Hall, 3704 N Interstate, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
* Tuesday , July 17th, SW Community Center, 6820 SW 45th, 7:00-8:30 p.m.
* Thursday, July 19th, East Portland Comm Center, 740 SE 106th,
7:00-8:30 p.m.
