Here is some additional info. re: the businesses that advertise on the electronic billboard in our neighborhood.

A member of the Coalition spoke to York Hanes at United Way. He said that he pulled their promo a few weeks ago.

Also, Lynn Stewart, the marketing person at Skippers said that Skippers no longer is on the Billboard and they don't plan to return. Suggest taking Skippers off our hit list.

We should be careful not to penalize
advertizers who respond favorably to our campaign. And, next time you use one of the businesses that formerly advertised on the sign, let them know you appreciate their decision not to use that media.

Also, spoke to Robert Armstrong at Coliseum Ford. He said he thought we were being unfair to the sign owner but he pulled his ad on the Morrison Bridge sign a while ago. He did not think that he was paying for ads on our billboard. He was a little vague, but he said he would look into it at would try to pull the ad.

I have sent out letters alerting new advertisers of the neighborhoods' displeasure to the 3 advertisers listed below -- Thanks for the info Andrea!

I can't remember if we already sent a letter to the Trailblazers. If not,
I agree we should, and would be happy to if someone will get me the info.,
including who it should be addressed to. In this particular case, it
should probably go to the head of PR, rather than the head of advertising.

Also, I think the Portland Trail Blazers should get a copy. They are not
advertising but StoreyBoards is using Scottie Pippen (maybe not now but
within the last few weeks, and in the past Go Blazers, (etc)) as a tie-in
to their other ads and to give the impression of Trail Blazer advertising.
The Blazers should be alerted that this unpopular venue is using their name and their players' names and we, as neighbors, do not approve.
