Hello Neighbors,
Four students including myself, from Linfield School of Nursing in Portland are doing an assessment on the health of your community, the Hayhurst Neighborhood. On Friday, March 3,2006 we drove around and took a windshield assessment of Hayhurst. We got out of the car and asked folks questions, such as:
What are Hayhurst's healthy aspects and what are those that need remediation?
What works?
What doesn't?
Why do you live/work/shop in this neighborhood?
Your input would be greatly appreciated. This is simply for educational purposes only, to help us future nurses utilize critical thinking to assess and analyze a community's health.
Please post your point of view, answer the questions, or comment any concerns regarding your life in Hayhurst and remember to try to make healthy choices everyday.
Thanks,
Tanya
