Having lived in BBF for 8 years, and having gone through the transition from the developer to the HOA I feel obligated to give my 2 cents here.
Why complain about the entrance, about the trustees, about what gets planted, when a bigger concern should be the lack of compliance to the deed restrictions. I feel sorry for the people that live on Waynebrown in between, and across the street from two homeowners who obviously don't know what property value means. I also feel sorry for the people on Ireland Court who see some of the best homes in the subdivision being trashed by irresponsible owners. I feel sorry for the people on Big Bear avenue who have the same issues.
I have to believe the trustees do a great job. 2 individuals who give up their time to make sure OUR subdivision has our basic needs met with the limited funds available.
The Powell road entrace will change once the road construction is completed. How it looks will be determined by the number of people who are interested to get involved when such decisions are made.
The few people that come to the HOA meetings will make this decision. Complain here, but better yet get involved.
If a Trustee made a commitment to set up committees, is that Trustee still in that position?
Several were run out of thier position at a previous meeting.
We can all complain, whine, call people morons, and want something better. Unless you contact the Trustees, offer your support, or make yourself available to see changes take place, you are just creating problems.
If you have an issue, ask your Trustee to put it on the agenda for the next HOA meeting. Go and address the issue showing your concern and gain the support from other homeowners.
Don't just put it here and expect that anything is going to happen.
