So you're on the side of the tactics of the few that wanted to run the meeting their way regardless of proper procedure? Anyone that has ever attended a meeting where Robert's Rule were being used should know that ''the few'' did not do anything out of order. If ignoring procedure and telling people to shut up is the kind of meeting you're happy with then we're in big trouble.

There were just as many first-timers appalled by the board's apparent unwillingness to follow procedure as there were those of you that were embarrassed by ''the few'' for their ''tactics'' of trying to make sure procedure was followed.

It sounds like YOU were one of the big mouths that disrupted the meeting. I was there and a few people in the audience came with one thing in mind and that was to create chaos. They would not let any of the trustees get the election going. Don't twist this around, this group came there with an agenda and they succeeded in making a mockery of the meeting. Everybody was talking about it after the meeting,that this group acted like a pack of wolves.How can anyone conduct a meeting when five different people want to say something at the same time? Don't talk about rules, the rules for the meeting were set before the meeting started, but this group ignored them. Everyone knows who these trouble makers are, make no mistake about that.This same group NEVER gets invited to any social activities in the neighborhood, because everyone knows about them. I for one feel that there were a lot of positive changes made during the last trustees term,but I also feel that we will have trouble getting good people to run in the future. If anyone has read the last few post here, they are already attacking the new candidate. You might post anonymous, but we know who you are.

You don't think shouting and talking out of turn is against the rules? Please don't qoute ''Roberts Rules'' ,because unless you are Parlimentarian nobody knows all the rules. They have always run these meetings informally,I remember the rule being made to keep all questions directed to the front and to not talk amongst themselves,well that lasted about two minutes and this group could not be appeased. I remember one of the candidates walking out in disgust and the other candidate changing her mind about wanting to run.Some body came there with a bunch of Proxy votes,talk about trying to tilt the election one way.

My neighbor attended the meeting and that is all the neighbors were talking about. They said this small group semmed intent on causing a disruption of the election. She said there were only two candidates that she knew of that were running and one of them walked out in disgust. This other person could have been elected unopposed,but that wasn't good enough,they wanted to cause problems and they accomplished their mission. They should be ashamed of themselves.
