Doris and Harry drove the neighborhood the other day trying to determine the 10 best yards in the Prairie Queen neighborhood. They looked for well manicured grass, nicely shaped shrubs, colorful flowers and other extras that make for an attractive front yard. Hard job! We didn't list every attractive yard and came up with a list of 33 yards! To no one?’s surprise Roy Melers yard at 1432 SW 71st, at the corner of Kentucky, won top prize. And two yards right across the street looked great too, Angie Kopp's 1500 SW 71st and 1504 SW 71st. There were beautiful yards on every street from1329 and1504 SW 61st, the OU yard at 1348 SW 63rd, four yards on 72nd, 1305, 1312, 1417 and 1520. In between there was 1428 60th, 1329 and 1504 61st, 1317 61st Terrace, 1600 62nd, 1520 64th, 1320 and 1404 66th, 1509 67th, 1517 68th, 1437 69th,1613 70th and 1413 and 1404 71st. The named streets weren?’t left out either. Three on Indiana stood out, 7100, 7111 and 7300.
