18th Street kicks-off its 2011 Legacy theme in conjunction with the Getty Foundation’s sponsored project, "Pacific Standard Time: Art in LA 1945-1980"
On Saturday February 19th, from 6pm to 9:30 pm, 18th Street will throws its infamous ArtNight featuring: the openings of Richard Newton’s "Have You Seen My Privacy" and Vincent Ramos’ "Outsider Art: Others From Elsewhere Doing Something Altogether Different…Sort of" art exhibitions; a young artist-driven group art show in the Pasillos I from the students of Santa Monica College; a provocative performance by 18th Street’s Visiting South African Artist, MLu Zondi IN THE HIGHWAYS PERFORMANCE ART SPACE at 8:00 pm; a presentation in the Pasillos II by the Womenfound organization called Children’s Art from the Gongathi Sunitha Shelter, located in India and open artist studios from 18th Street's Artists in Residence.
Food will be available for purchase by Asia Dog Food Truck and a complimentary bar will be open to the public.
