The City of Covington requires residents to obtain a permit for all
community, garage and yard sales within the city limits. A fee of $10.00
will be charged for each sale permit. No more than three permits per year
will be granted for each residence. Each permit is valid for three
consecutive days to conduct the sale.
Neighborhood groups may obtain a permit for the residents in the area and
a $50.00 flat fee will be charged as long as at least ten households
participate.
One temporary sign of not more than 4 square feet may be displayed on
the property of the residence where a sale is being conducted.
Police officers, code enforcement officers or city administrators will have
the right to enter and inspect the premises of a garage sale. Permits may
be revoked or denied at the discretion of the City Manager.

2. Location of sale;
3. Date(s) of sale;
4. The name of the property owner where the sale is being
