Between the state and city going to super tax Pawtucket residents, we are going to chase all smart residents to clear out of here for less taxing places.

Do not be surprised with more nicer homes up for sale as people head to Florida or other New England neighbors with lower taxes and fewer giveaways for those who can not afford to move.

Businesses will be moving most of their equipment elsewhere and their resources for greener pastures.

Those stuck here will pay the piper for the failure of council and legislators to cut the pension and health benefits that everyone put off for tomorrows kids to pay. Private business cut back years ago and yet now the state will pay 20% of state employee salaries to the pension obligation and wait til it becomes 50%. Maybe we should go to work for the state or the city for a royal deal that we would all love to have.

Police and fire folks retire early with multiple pensions and overtime details boosting pensions and health costs for life. We will be paying more as we have to cover more of Central Falls and other communities with our joint helping aid too.

We need to apply some common sense to combine services and have realistic benefits.

When will the last person leaving Pawtucket and RI be able to turn the switch off?
