Seniors Farmers' Market Vouchers

2015 Senior Farmers' Market Nutrition Program

The York County Area Agency on Aging, in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, will again distribute fruit and vegetable vouchers to qualifying seniors. This program provides $20.00 in vouchers to eligible York County seniors to buy fresh fruit and vegetables from participating local farm markets.

York County residents who are 60 years of age or older, and who have a gross annual 2015 household income at or below $21,775 for a single person or $29,471 for a couple are eligible to participate. All income is included when calculating total gross income. Proof of age and York County residency must be shown. Other important information:

  • 2015 Proxy form is required for all eligible individuals who are having someone else pick up vouchers for them. Proof of age and residency for the eligible person must be attached to the proxy form. Proxy forms are available at all Senior Centers and on the Forms & Documents page.
  • Seniors who are living in a nursing home, personal care home, or other residential facilities where meals are provided are ineligible to receive vouchers.
  • Vouchers can be redeemed from June 1 through November 30.
  • Individuals are eligible to receive the vouchers only once per calendar year.

Vouchers will be distributed at the following locations or as long as the voucher supply lasts.
