Posted in: Pohick Village
Please I just moved here in february and I am confused; I understand we all have 2 assigned parking spaces ; now we are being given parking stickers but if we have 3 vehicles where do we park the 3rd vehicle without getting towed???I do have 3 parking permits. Please if anyone can give me an answer please e mail me or even call me Thank you; Holly Young

I have had this same problem!  I even got my neighbor who has 1 car to give me there other permit and still was towed.  They want you to park out on the street to get hit and block the view of anyone trying to leave the neighborhood.  They look for reasons to tow your cars in Newington Heights!  I was even warned I would get towed because the tire pressure on one of my tires was low!

I was confused, too, when I moved here.  Be careful --- the three "registration" stickers are misleading, perhaps deliberately, and are meaningless for purposes of parking.  Although the HOA won't tell you this, the fact is that you can only park in your assigned spots.  That means, that residents in Pohick Village can only own two cars, or park their car offsite as if it were a boat.

If you use any visitor spot for your third vehicle (5 days or more per month), they will quickly have Dominion Towing, Inc. tow it away.  Dominion will charge you at least $150 per tow, at least $50 per day for "storage," and they'll likely add other fees.  When your car is towed, no one will contact you except by registered mail.

I advise that you sell your third vehicle, store it off-site, or move from Pohick Village if you really need three accessible automobiles.

We moved recently to this village and we are currently facing the same problem. We have two cars. One of our cars were towed last Thursday, when we came back from work...we went to Dominion towing co and paid $125 and got back our car. After so many calls next day we were informed that our parkings are revoked because of not paying our HOA due. We managed to pay it online same night. We called the HOA and The HOA has been sending the statments to our old address and we never got them for this current quarter. The first quarter same thing happened and the mail was forwarded to our current address and we managed to pay the HOA due. Then after several phone calls( nobody picks up a phone when you try to call them. Always you get an automated machine reply informs you leave a message and leave your number so that the agents will call you back.....they will never in million years do call you back...). Then on Sunday we parked our cars on visitors parking and we found out on monday morning that both were towed. We called Dominion and paid $300-the payment includes after hour charges they said they got the call at 2:00am(it was like we asked for the service).

We tried calling the HOA several times..almost all morning on monday...and finally we were able to speak one of the agent there and respond to us that they need 3business days to process the payment. 3 business days have passed and we still did not here from them... tomorrow is Thanks giving and then Friday is day after Thanks giving, plus the weekend, plus this horrible weather....we are parking both of our cars on a street.....Does anyone know who the Board members are....

They need to have a better customer service who should work for the home owners not to the towing companies.....
