What a HOOT! Great Horned Owl on Kael St! (Jan 3, 2014)

arboleda Respected Neighbor 9 Posts	We wanted to let you all know that there was a Great Horned Owl on our chimney last night (Fri 01/02/14) around 6:15 p.m. We were surprised by how big it was, especially when it took flight over to Gary & Lee Ana's tree on Kenwood! Watch your small dogs and cats when they are outside. The owl's diet includes small to medium-sized mammals and they hunt at dusk and during the night. volleyfreak Respected Neighbor USA 1 Post	We have seen and heard the owl too. Not only is it huge, but it's LOUD! There's lots of pigeons to snack on around here, and maybe some roof rats for dessert. Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind if it flew away with the small dog who takes a dump in our front yard 3 or 4 times a week, and the owner who never picks it up! January 15th 2014 Report Reply
