Annual Meeting

The purpose of the annual meeting is to hold an election and report to the membership. It also allows for questions and discussions on matters pertinent to the organization and the members. This exchange of ideas and information is very difficult when a meeting is held in a place and manner that does not allow people to hear each other. I found the noise and distractions of the park significant enough that I could not hear half of the discussions on issues that were brought up by the membership. While the board members and candidates had use of a loudspeaker, the members were without this help. It makes you wonder if a discussion of some items was not desired. Thus, the setting provided a perfect situation to acheive this purpose.

In my opinion I could only hear the bickering back and forth between the membership. ''When to water, When not to water, You don't know what I volunter for, You don't know me, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH.''

It was nice to see that 4 people run for the postions for office. Maybe it will create some unity in Redland Woods.

What is the sad state of this neighborhood is that no one really cares about what gets done, they would rather be a armchair complainer that moans and moans and then moan some more.

If you knew the history?

You say that those of us who have posted comments don't know you. Well, you don't know us. Initially, we had many committees and volunteers. The antagonism created by those who wanted their own agenda and did not understand an association and its regulations drove most of those volunteers away. Why should they put up with the ridicule and false statements spread about them? Some people put in may hours each month saving the association a great deal of money. They were never recognized while others who said they were going to do something specific and never did it were recognized. There is much healing that needs to be done to bring these people back. It can only happen if those who are responsible for the splintering reach out.

Landscaping

The new landscaping of the entrance looks great! I especially like the flowers. Can't wait to see everything when it matures. Thanks to whoever did it.
