Why does it matter.

Why does it bother you that people from Juarez are making a future for themselves? You should not worry about what your neightbor has and focus on your own life, then maybe you wouldn't be such a miserable person.

I take exception to the line ''illegals will work for the low wages that most americans can't afford to work for because most americans have american taxes to pay and american schools to support.''.

Most employers automatically deduct these taxes along with medicare as well as state and local taxes. The illegal alien dares not file for a tax refund for fear of discovery. Therefore he adds to our national coffers rather deducting from them.

Still, I would prefer that all illegal aliens be automatically deported without hearings and that they be barred from ever receiving approval to reenter the country.

Schools and my tax money

Why does El Paso have 3 school districts within one city?
Many other cities this size operate with a single district.

If the city of El Paso had one district we would need just one superintendent and one school board, downsizing the bureaucracy could save the taxpayers a bundle.

??? Question.
Do our public schools promote the attendance of non-residents to increase their enrollment figures? IF the school is aware a student is in fact a Mexican national/ or illegal/ or whatever the proper term is and allows the student to continue receiving services are they (the school) subject to any penalty or fine from the State or Federal government for committing fraud?

My tax home taxes and schools

The people who really get the shaft are the ones who have paid off their house and have a free and clear title to the property. Most people are still paying for their house and the property taxes are included in the house payment, so there is no ''extra'' money being paid by the home buyer. WE the home owners who do not have a payment are the ones who pay out of our pockets. We're the ones getting the real shaft here...not the ones who are still buying and do not have clear title to the property. Since most home buyers are so happy to get the loan, they rarely even look at how much the school district is gouging them every year. They become so accustomed to making the payment that after awhile they could care less that some school administrator is making more than the president of the USA. Then the district can come in and take your land to build a new school...I say this is bull and has to be stopped.
