By law, only those residents who would NOT be able to access their property without crossing a speed hump were offered the right to sign or not sign the speed hump petition. You can leave and return to your residence without crossing a speed hump.
I also get a tad tired of that montone, "come to the meeting and find out what is going on." Somebody has it backwards, government is supposed to be responsive 24/7/365. They are not. Bellemeade City Commission is lazy. And of course I know you don't get paid to serve, but you knew that before you ran.
I really hate to tell you this, but they don't care what you think. Proof is that the need for public safety has been ignored, but that pet tree project gets funded despite original opposition by a majority of the citizens who came to a meeting to oppose the tree ordinance and who continue to question the practice of planting trees on private property. Tell your city commissioners to vote no for any more funds for the Beautification Committee and see what they do
