Such energy is being put into negative comments and criticism!
I'm afraid that the impression I'm getting from reading several of the posts is that people have forgotten how to work together in community. People have to care about other people in order to change behavior that may be hurtful. Laws (and speed humps...bumps...signs) are an attempt to promote responsible behavior, which is a challenge in today's egocentric world. Laws and other attempts to change behavior only result in (sometimes) controlling behavior, thus requiring an "enforcer". |

Your second paragraph appears to be negative. But then again, maybe not in that you generalized with "several posts" as opposed to specifying which posts. Does the First Amendement's Freedom of Speech prohibit comments which attempt to point out needs of the people not being assuaged by the government?
A True Critic has a better solution. Pointing out shortfalls by government obviously is negative because the failure to properly meet the needs of the people is certainly not a positive. How would you address those shortfalls positively?
Thanks for joining in this discussion. What plan do you have to do the following?
Get people to care.
Get people to change behavior.
Are you speaking of a human enforcer or speed humps spaced close enough to effectively discourage speeding? Or both?
