Problem with Gateways Parking

Posted in: Regent Square

Is anyone else angry about Gateway Beit T'Shuvah's not adhering to the parking agreement they agreed to. They originally said that they would insist that their guest park either in their underground parking lot or in the Helms street lot. Is there something we can do to make them adhere to their agreement?

Gateways parking promblems

In response to a residents aggrivation regarding parking problmes being caused by Gateway.

I have heard complaints regarding this problem and jsut emailed Sylvia Lacey in Nate Holden's office May 12th. There are other issues regarding the facility that also need to be addressed and we should have a Regent Square Meeting in the comming months to discuss all the issues regarding this facility. Meanwhile please feel free to contact me and possibly we could get other neighbors together to put together a formall compliant. The best thing we can do is continue to keep in contact and work as a group with these complaints. I will follow this message in a few days with Sylvia Lacey's email adress so she can here direct from you and others regarding the problem.

Reply to Problems with Gateways

Dear Regent Square homeowners,

We are unaware of any continuing problems with parking. We have rectified the individual problems that have come up. We are available 24 hours a day to talk about and rectify any problems that occur. We think that part of the covenant that we signed with the association was that we would be contacted if there were any problem situations we would be contacted at 310-204-5200. We are available for discussion and we welcome it, so please call either Elaine, Harriet or Rabbi Mark.

Thank you,

Parking problems

Now that we have a web site you can use this in addition to complaint calls to see if your facility is causing hard to the neighborhood.

And now you know, as expressed during initial interaction with our organization, the activities of your business, which includes your clients and related guests are causing parking problems.

Parking issues were not a part of the conditions imposed on the property you purchased but probably could be added if the situation continues.

As a refresher, the parking regulations for your building were based on a very different use-senior citizens and mentally immobile. Both groups had little access to personal transportation vehicles.

Your business and the clients are different and the parking that comes with the building is inadequate.

What you verbally promised, (there was nothing in writing, was that your clients would park only on you property and that all cars of residents would have stickers identifying the cars as cars of the residents.

Where's the stickers?

Also you were initially showing some attempt of keeping your guests off the residential streets by posting signs directing them to park on the Helms property.

Haven't seen those signs lately. So guests are parking where they want on the residential streets.

So, sticker your clients cars like you said and start having the guests used the Helms lots again by posting those "park on Helms property signs again.
