Remington Place Homeowner's Association

Annual Meeting

May 01, 2008

Our annual meeting was held on January 14th. Thanks to all who participated, sorry if you couldn't make it. We had a very nice turn out and participation level. If you would like to have minutes of the meeting, please let me know and I will get them to you.
At our meeting, three By-Law changes were proposed by the membership to make our neighborhood even better. They were voted on and all passed. They are as follows:
1. "INCREASE DUES FROM $50 TO $100 ANNUALLY"

2. "ALL UNATTENDED SWIMMING POOLS BE SECURED FOR SAFETY REASONS"
3. "ALL LAWNS MUST BE SODDED WITHIN 60 DAYS OF MOVE IN FOR EROSION CONTROL AND APPEARANCE"

These addenda will be formally written up and legally filed as required.
The membership then nominated and elected the HOA Board for 2008. They are as follows:
Paul Wright (Chairman)
Dustin Terry
Mike Gonzalez
Congratulations to our new board, thanks for serving.
After their election, and in compliance with our by-laws, the Board nominated and elected the following officers:
President - Mel Guillory
Vice President - Randy Trease
Treasurer - Kelly Wright
Secretary - Jamae Fulton
The board then selected the members for the Architectural Committee for this year. They are:
Larry Bates (Chair)
Travis Montgomery
Phil Beda
It was proposed that we organize Block Captains to assist in spreading HOA related info. Most were in favor, and Pam Timmons offered to do the project. If you can help, please contact us
Another subject of interest that came up was having quarterly membership meetings. We had a large show of hands in favor. I will work with the board and officers to see if this if feasible.
