I WOULD LIKE TO ADDRESS THE DRUG PROBLEM, THAT WE HAVE ON BARTON ST.ITS ALL NICE THAT PAWT IS GETTING CLEANED UP,BUT WHAT ABOUT BARTON ST? WE HAVE DRUG DEALERS LIVING ON OUR STREET AND NO ONE SEEMS TOO CARE.WE HAVE 4 FAMILYS HERE THAT CAN REALLY RUIN THE NEIGBORHOOD FOR EVERY ONE ELSE,CHILDREN OUT TILL 1:30 AM SCREAMING AND PLAYING,MAKING IT HARD TO GET A DECENT NITES SLEEP,THESE PEOPLE GET WELFARE AND SSI AND IT ALL GOES ON DRUGS AND LIQUOR,I DREAD WHEN THE FIRST OF THE MONTH COMES AROUND,ITS PARTY TIME FOR THESE PEOPLE.THEY OPENLY SELL DRUGS AND DO DRUGS.I AM SURE THE PAWT POLICE ARE AWARE OF THE PROBLEM,SO WHY ISNT ANY THING BEING DONE ABOUT IT?WE HAD A PROBLEM WITH HOOKERS,SITTING ON A WALL ALL DAY,AND SOMETHING WAS DONE ABOUT THAT THANK GOD,THE NEIGHBORHOOD WILL NEVER BE CLEAN UNTIL THIS DRUG PROBLEM IS ADDRESSED!ANY IDEAS?

SOMEONE WHO CARES
No i must confess i have'nt called the police, because i thought they were aware of the problem.I did inform pcdc, and was waiting to see if anything would happen.About 2 months ago i videotaped what was going on at the wall on the corner of hawes and barton st,and handed the tape over to pcdc, and a week later the problem was gone. The girls are still working barton st,just not as openly, now i can look out my window without seeing them laying up on the wall...which i must say is nice.I think if the johns were targeted, that would help also,a lot of them are coming in from mass.I cant complain about the pawt police,i always see them patroling the streets.I also think that if we had a crime watch program for barton st,it would help,at the very least it would send out a message to some... that there are people who care about what goes on in their neighborhood. |
