Welcome and Introductions. Present: LVMPD Bolden Crime Prevention Specialist Denise Stride, City Neighborhood Planner Anne Kilponen, President Shawn Spanier, Vice President Dan Connell, Secretary Dana Russell and 12 attendees

Neighborhood Watch was presented by Denise Stride. For a successful Watch Program, get your neighbors involved by asking them to participate, get to know your neighbors. It is important to stay a neighborhood, to build and maintain unity. By knowing who and what belongs, the things that are out of the ordinary can be reported to the Block Captains. The Motto is: "See Something, Say Something, and Report". The Block Captains are not the police nor are they to take matters into their hands. They are the liaison between the neighborhood and police. It is Community Oriented Policing (C.O.P.). Depending on the severity of the event being reported, either call 911 (emergency) or 311 (non-emergency). She also provided Metro's Crime View data of the area. Part of her duties is also to do a "home security survey". She encouraged us to attend Metro's "First Tuesday" at 7pm at the Bolden Area Command, 1851 Stella Lake St
