I just received the news letter a little while ago. Looks good. I liked to add that the main story about HOAs would be biased. When you poll people who show up at meetings only. You will get a higher number to vote in favor of HOAs.
In I believe seven years when Copper Groves HOA can by law be disbanded. I think you will have a majority vote for this to take place.
I think at that time it should not be done away with all together but amended to the board only administering contracts. Grass cutting,snow removal and lake maint.
This was brought on by me telling the board that they had no business keeping copies of my cnacelled checks. If they need proof of my finances, I would provide. I told them that if this practice continued I would not be paying dues.
I was then sent an E-Mail threatening me by the HOA attorney. This E-mail was followed a second and were only stopped after I said something. How unprofessional is that. An attorney sends a threatening E-Mail over something that has not even happened.
Last year I was going to put a bid in to do the lawn maint. and was told that I would not receive the contract because I live here. My bid was going to be $2000.00 less that the current bid. I was told that this would be a conflict of interest because I live here. If this is the case, the current attorney needs to be relieved of any functions having to do with Copper Groves HOA. Whats fair is fair...
