  • Respect-O-Meter: Respected Neighbor

I received this from a friend who lives in Ashland and thought it pertinent enough to post on our website since this appears to have involved some of our neighbors and we are so close to this subdivision. This was also posted on their Facebook page.  Please keep an eye out for anything suspicious and report it to the police immediately.  Here is the post in its entirety:

"Ok everyone here is the correct information for the Ashland Community about this mornings happings at 5:30am at the north end of Physics Way. This did not involve the school buses this moring they just were picking up kids for school.
An SUV pulled up on the street with three black males inside who got out and started to check out cars and homes. They did not get far because of a fevered baby and a daddy just leaving for work. Mom hears a noise calls the police and they tried her front door. Police arrive catch 1 and the other 2 get away, left behind there cells and car. They had a few electronics they had collected from Copper Grove first but they had not gotten anyting here in our area. NOW THE IMPORTANT PART !!! Please read this! They were not kids, they were not just looking around, these guys are career criminals with many fellonie arrests and are from the 38th st area here in town but originally from the Detroit area. It is not safe to assume they are not dangerous, they are around 21 plus years old but are not afraid of you. So stay inside call the police and keep everything locked up, this type of crime has been running around our area for several days now. They have long crimminal records and only one was caught and will be out by tonight. There has been a rash of this kind of thing in the township lately. Make sure your neighbors now this and keeps the moms and kids safe in the mornings waiting for the buses."

Thank you for notifying us of this. I also frequently visit the website: indy911calls.com to see any 911 calls in the neighborhood. I find it to be a useful tool.
