Captian Eddie Rickenbacker, World War I Flying Ace
Captian Edward (Eddie) Rickenbacker (1890-1910), the renowned "Ace of Aces" was born on the east side of Columbus, Ohio, to a family of Swiss immigrants. From a simple beginning, he rose to be a WWI hero, Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, automobile entrepreneur and promoter, and the president of Eastern Airlines.
