A new rule in cell phones went into effect on Sept 1st. All drivers must use a ''hands free device'' when driving. There's a $100 fine if the police stop you. If you're using it in a school zone and you're stopped, it's a $200 fine. It's very dangerous for the children and myself. Trust me, I know first hand when a teacher at Lewis drove through the crosswalk (which was occupied by children and myself at the time)This teacher could have hit us because more attention was paid to the conversation instead of the school crossing. Please make a note of this.
